I’m looking to write a new SOP for cleaning the endoscope and thought it would be beneficial to accompany that with CPD for our team on scope use and maintenance..

can anyone recommend any relevant webinars or resources on this subject aimed at nurses/students.

I was thinking of implementing a scoring system; maybe a bitch spay is allocated 6, dog castrate 2, cat cast 1, cat spay 3, etc.

i.e. a slower vet needing more time would have a daily allowance of 15points, made up of the points allocated to each procedure.

Has anyone done this before and how has it worked for you?

Does anyone ave other protocols in place - good or bad- that has helped or ruled out.

I am looking at storage for Orthoapedic kits as our department grows.

I have used organised filing systems at previous clinics but I am interested to see what others have!

Is anyone willing to send me pictures of your kit storage / kit rooms?!

Are you using a filing system within drawers?

Are you using designated cupboards with boxes for kits etc?

Any feedback gratefully recieved!

I am looking at possibly doing a nursing certificate in the next year or so and am researching which route to take.

I wondered if anyone knew the difference or pros and cons over studying for the Advanced certificate in Vet nursing in which you choose a specialist area (Dentistry, surgical nursing, coaching & mentoring or anaesthesia & analgesia) over choosing in an NCert in one of those subject areas? Is it just that the Advanced certificate is post graduate and the NCert is under graduate? Or is there more to it than that?

Any info is greatly recieved

A little of the branch practices I work in is asking for a mtiparameter. I have been tasked with putting forward the justifications for this. I can think of so many for the team and the benefit of the patient etc, however the leaders are looking for financial justifications, of which I have so far come up with - blood pressure is quicker costing less in time, but otherwise I'm not quite sure what to put.
