Thanks Caro, sadly I don't think it is something I can afford to take up, but it is something I'd consider doing again! That's ok, you were doing something important, had the fella with me so plenty of support there!

Well done have been thinking of you today sorry couldn't make it ended up at cark dz in the lake district running some wristbands we had made in memory of Brian and Emma up there.
Glad you loved it and hope you take it up properly although it can get expensive with kit it is a great sport.

Sorry to drag up the ol' thread, but thought you guys might wanna know....did my skydive and it was the most AMAZING experiance EVER! Never been up in a plane (experiance no 1, wanna go again!) then the fall! Did do the obligitory scream on the way out, but never shut my eyes! Got to steer a bit, the views....AMAZING! Got to the bottem and wanted to go again!

I got pictures of my landing (my face is soooo wind swept) and was still buzzing when I got down. It is something I'd say, if you wanna do it, DO! Its soooo peaceful once the canopy is open and your floating, it was cold though the cloud (I wanted to kick the fluffy stuff, so my guy made sure we went through the cloud)

I'm doing a sky dive soon, sooooooooo looking forward to it! Wanted to for years, and now it's my turn in a few weeks! Eep! Can't wait tho!

I would LOVE to do a sky dive! I know I would be absolutely terrifed when it came to jumping out of the plane but once I was on my way down I know I would love it!

Congratulations Dippy!!! I bet you'll look back and think "actually it wsn't that bad!" The amount you have raised is amazing - well done!! It will be put to good use.....bet if someone asked you to do it again next year, you would!!

OMG!!!! That has to be the most horrendous thing I've ever done in my life!!! Everything went better than I could have hoped for, weather conditions great and I was on the first plane up so it was all over by 9.45am which was a huge relief. However, to all of you who said I'd love it, you were SO wrong. I burst into tears on the plane as was so overcome with emotion, had a panic attack during freefall even though I kept my eyes tightly closed and fought back the overwhelming urge to vomit throughout the parachute part. NEVER AGAIN! The only highlights were meeting Caro again and having her support (thank you Caro - I think you're fantastic!), seeing the look on the woman's face when I collapsed with laughter as she handed me my certificate and told me I get a 30% discount off my next tandem jump and the fact we've raised over £3k for PARC. To be fair, I was never a thrill seeker and don't even like fairground rides or other people's driving so for me, it was only ever about raising the money. BUT... I am secretly feeling quite proud of myself

Bed and see you tomorrow Dippy. Not looking good at the moment but it is 02:05.

If not good during the day stick there till it is called at days end. Often get the 4o clock wind as it is called. In other words a miraculous clearing up late in the day often just enough to get one lift in.

I may be able to do it not matter if not see you jump at least l get to say hi. To be honest l never end up watching tandems and jumpers as even with glasses l miss most of the action gtill low under canopy.

l have load of wristbands to bring over and hope to sell for air ambulance for brian & emma if jeff will let me but as old friend of brians hope no probs. Hell brian been jumping pretty much as long as BK been around and want to meet some folks inc. liz a regular there chatted a fair bit on face book. Lot of folks who Brian knows.

And to anyone that wants go for it you wont be dissapointed. Nothing to worry about you will love it. You don't know how high you are as no reference points. And you have nothing to do but enjoy the ride.

If l do make it will be there very earlty probably have dark green rhodesian jersey on with Bulawayo Lass on the back. Or a deep sky blue fleece on no writting. And barefoot either way.

Well it would be lovely to see you if you do make it but don't bust a gut if you're working, plus we may not end up jumping until later in the day. I'll be the one with the green face

And to Nicola (and anyone else who's thinking about it but too scared!)... trust me, no one can be more scared than me. The colleague I'm going with isn't scared at all and has her bf there for moral support so I'd be more than happy to have another big chicken to keep me company beforehand!!!
