I'd be very interested! That was the basis for my Ethics assignment for the 1st year at Myerscough and I hope to do something along those lines for my dissertation as well!

I did a little survey of my own within my practice based on the Finnish / french and British questionnaires. Interestingly everyone thought pain scales would be / are a useful tool.........but no-one uses them?! It certainly highlighted the need for further training in pain perception and the use of pain scales. The nurses need the confidence to be able to let the vet know if a certain analgesia is not working, or if an animal needs analgesia. And on the flip side the vets need to be able to trust the nurses opinions.
