My advice would be to make sure that you have a good understanding and relationship with the people with whom you are going to go into partnership with. It is amazing how different people can become when money is involved. Also don't be afraid to look after number one, make sure that you are protected within the business and don't allow yourself to be bullied by others, it can sometimes be useful to use your own solicitor/financial advisor etc to look into business plans/agreements/contracts as well as one acting for the business. But mostly, try to enjoy the process, it adds a whole new dimension to things!

Oooh, that sounds amazing. How many nurses ever have the chance to do such a thing? There will always be doubts, but better to regret something you've done than spending your life regretting something you haven't done! Go for it, and all the best.

Wow! I can't offer any advice but I can say that I think this is really exciting and don't let enyone put you off if it's something you really want. The only thing that springs to my mind is to make sure it's with a vet you're happy to work with every day and to be business partners with (you didn't say whether this is a plan with a vet friend or whether you're looking into it via one of the joint venture groups with a stranger?)
