Hello ,

I don't know although they did advise previous applicants to use a essay writing guide so would imagine they want a critical piece of writing as this course is at HE level and not a case log . They will also look at punctuation, spelling and grammar and referencing particularly I would imagine but if you are unsure do ask. Worth proof reading everything and doing a draft when writing essays ..don't just rely on your spell check as it doesn't pick up typos and errors in grammar etc, a perfect example being the typo of the word entrance in the title of this thread. I am sure they mention the reference book in the application pack they send out but if not give them a call

Still dont really know how to start ...does anyone know if it has to be in a caselg styl, essay style or just make something up as a mix of both?

Hey thats a good one.

I started the diploma in septmber had to do an essay on the autonomy and self regulation of the VN. Found it really hard as not done any acedemic writing.

All i would say is look in jones and other nursing books and get yourself used to the harvard referncing system as it takes a lot of time to get used to it if you have never used it before.

At the moment we are doing an essay on nursing care plans which have arisen from human nursing so it may be worth looking up RLT and orem models of nursing.

Its really hard work but am enjoying it and learning a lot about myself as well as new aspects of nursing particulary ethical side of things. Not fun having to revise the Anatomy and Physiology again though!!!.
