(If not I don&amp;#39;t think there&amp;#39;s much they can do!) Occassionally there are certain clauses in there where if the employee leaves before the probabation period (if there is one) then the employer can potentially recover the&amp;nbsp;costs of employing someone new from the old employee. (They can make this run into ridiculous amounts if they want to be difficult, although most likely she&amp;#39;ll just have no wages for the month.) It sucks and it&amp;#39;s wrong but it happened to a vet friend of mine. (I think she faught it and won though?)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Personally I&amp;#39;d be very wary of just walking out, no matter how disgruntled you are with the employer! I once fell out with an employer (not veterinary) and not being able to provide that reference can make life very difficult, I definately would recommend keeping things civil... I really regret that now, even though things were alright in the end.&lt;/p&gt;
