So I'm walking the dogs up in the woods and we're on the last lap, the dogs are in their slow plodding stage. And around the corner comes barreling a wee Siberian Husky. I'd place it at around 4-5 months

Re: *facepalm*

Whilst walking Jack (on lead) on sunday a very bouncy boxer came flying up to Jack. Wasn't being nasty at all, but Jack does not like dogs flying at him like that! He snapped as the dog went flying over him, i kept Jack under control so all was fine. But Jack being a SBT would no doubt have got the blame if something had happened. The people could see us coming, and could see Jack was on lead, so WHY did they not control their dog?! They said sorry, but that's not really good enough is it? They should have control of their dog not just let it fly around like crazy and then apologise!!! On the opposite end there are the people who see Jack is on the lead and telling their dogs to come to them, or the sweet calm dogs (which Jack is happy to have a sniff with) whose owners call them back because they say it's not fair on Jack when he's on the lead. These people are responsible and realise that if people have their dog on the lead it's for a reason! I've lost count of how many little shitty terriers have come running up to Jack snapping at him and the owners do sod all!!! Nearly had to get hold of the collar of one the other day, i moved back with Jack and it followed. I've had to pick Jack up before cos a JRT was snapping at his legs

Now I'm a step back with Sam who has been left unsure around other dogs but is slowly getting his confidence back and wondering how some people come to own dogs in the first place!.

Re: *facepalm*

Another one for the dogs home then, when it's found to be poorly trained and "unhandleable"....
They are the In thing at the mo. Looking at the lead (as the puppy dragged it past me) if I didn't know better I would say that the owner has cut the lead off the retractable bit and then just lets the puppy run around and stamps on the lead or something when it goes past to 'catch' it.

Re: *facepalm*

Why didn't they just take it off it's lead???
