Dont keep packed red cells as dont last long enough and think you are meant to keep mixing bag so would be worried they would not be kept as they should be. The patient is still alive...just, PCV went down to 2% !!! so managed a tranfusion yesterday. The practice doesn&amp;#39;t really allow us to call the donor list overnight. &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Angry_smiley.png" alt="Angry" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Always worth asking though :)&lt;/p&gt;
