Update from the non smoking shed, well I have eaten my weight in sweets and cakes as well as food in general, but I will plod on regardless. I am hopefully going to be finishing my decorating this weekend, so that should keep me busy

it infuriates me! as a one time christian (now hovering between the security blanket of believing, and the harsh scientific evidence), it riles me that people can fight and kill indiscriminately in the name of religion! if there is indeed a god, i'm pretty darn sure that he or she or whatever would not want us to be blowing each other up.

Noodle, I am the exact same with Matthew, he is only 3 and so innocent, he is a real sweetheart. I cried for days when Phillip started nursery school 2 years ago as he was 'sort of' out in the world so to speak and I wasn't there to protect him Its got a lot easier now as he is in P2 and is such a popular wee man as he as a lovely and sensitive personality and sooo friendly. He is a real wee treasure......must get it from me hehe What does annoy me though is that he is very sensitive, as am I, though thats not always a good thing (it is towards other people of course)

My big sis is going thru this at the moment with her eldest - hes 17. She has always given him enough free rein to feel independent, but always insisted that she knows what he's up to.... like wise she has been really careful not to rein him in that much that he feels the need to rebel. Another sister has been really OTT with her 16yo daughter, and is paying the price now as she is rebelling big style.

its so hard - lil man is 3 now, and i have just realised that i want him to stop growing, and stay an innocent for ever!

Thank you Noodle, its such a long time ago though I remember it very well. I was so annoyed that we had to go to school the next day but obviously as dad was so upset, mum needed us out of the way so to speak. The really sad part though was that his wife was in hospital having their baby

I didnt go full term either - lil man was 9 weeks early, emergency ceaser due to pre eclampsia - but my bump was big enough to be noticed by strangers grrrrr!

a pregnancy thread would be great, as long as we all have some stories left to tell after offloading on here hehe!

Never mind patting the bump, I had a girl who I had known from school, but never spoke too or anything, we only knew one another from staying in the same area.Anyway I was walking home one day, and she shouted out, "well fatty"...I mean yes fair enough if I actually spoke to you in real life I turned round and said excuse me but who the f%$k are you talking too!!!!!! she could not get her head any further up her own backside if she tried, and now years later she does not even look at me.

I know, you read about it on the news daily, its very scary the world we are living in and bringing children into. I absolutely terrified of the thought of my boys getting old enough to want to start going out at night and exploring the world, but its not as if I can stop them either. I know that when that happens, I wont do well until they are home safe again. I fear them growing up, I want them to be my babies forever though thats impossible of course.

My friend had her drink spiked on a night out, she knew something was wrong pretty quickly though as she had only been drinking coke all night, and had the sense to tell her friend to get her home asap, the following day she could not even remember saying that to her friend.

You also have to worry about the drugged up ones, and also the amount of young men and girls now who are getting jumped as they walk the streets is a disgrace.
