Hi Chelle,

I got a job as a vet receptionist 7 years ago and after 18months managed to get taken on as a nursing assistant and they agreed to train me a year later. Most of the people I was at college with were a) a lot younger and b) more experienced than me but I have had nothing but encouragement all the way. I think I was the only one who doubted my capabilities but then I am not a confident person and this is what made it more difficult for me. So far I have never found my age to be against me. Good luck with your training!
