I really want to do some further study as have been qualified for a long time now and want to push my comfort levels a bit.
I've been looking at all the options and like the look of the RVC

Re: RVC graduate diploma

Hi,

I've just finished the first year of the diploma at the RVC. The first year is quitew good, its not overly clinical, but covers a wide range of topics from legislation, ethics, nursing care plans, and a very detialed anatomy and physiology module. there is a certian amount of leeway with the amount of work that you do, but I would encourage the use of the noticeboards weekly, you get as much out of it as you put into it. you are expected to do about 15 hours a week towards the course, you are given weekly notes and there is foten a weekly task, which can be researching a topic, a powerpoint presentation anything like that. next year is the electives, which is highly clinical and something i'm really looking forward too!!

I would say that it will be worth it in the end. financially, I am lucky as my practice is apying for half of it. its about 300 per module, and a module lasts for 12 weeks so its no more expensive than any other course really.
