Indeed, I could never be without my boys - I'm dreading them growing up and moving out of home - they are only 7 and 4 years old yet lol!!!

Awww I'm glad you had a good birthday! You deserve it!

As for little boys- well mine seems to revel in going to to the loo in places away from home! Supermarket, restaurant, work - he suddenly needs a wee every 15mins, when he has no problem at home! I have come to the conclusion that little boys who learn to wee like a 'big boy' ie standing up, feel the need to show that off at every possible opportunity away from home!

Gotta love em though! My little man is my pride and joy! Hooray for little boys, made of slugs and snails, and puppy dogs tails! hehe!

I had a lovely meal thanks. It was quite funny as to start, it was just mum, the boys and I, then dad decided he would come too. However, we were late for the booking as dad was watching the football (a local one on tv) and we couldnt leave for the restaurant until half time - then, once we got to the restaurant, not a word out of dad from start to finish as he was watching the second half on the wide screen tv

Matthew is such a wee angel, I could take him anywhere, as for Phillip - well, he is just a little monster.....up and down, up and down!!! About 4 trips to the toilet lol!!

Afterwards, my sister had a party for her little girl who's birthday was on the 16th, so I had great peace and quiet the rest of the afternoon as the boys spent the rest of the evening there! Its right beside me, so I could sit at home while they were at party - great!!

Thats terrible Saskia. But you sound like a really strong woman who is looking towards yours and your childrens future. Just think their are many women who just can't bring themselves to leave a violent relationship and you have. You should be very proud of yourself. The way I see it is their are hard time to conjure but eventually things will get better and can only go up. Happy birthday sweetheart! And don't give yourself a hard time.

Polly, many thanks for that! I wont pretend it was easy, it was damn hard most of the time, but, I got through it, I am happy and my sons are happy, thats all that matters!

Still, its likely we will lose our home as he went bankrupt and left us to deal with the mess.

£100,000 remortgage is what the financial advisor says we are looking at and I know there is no way I can afford that.

Wonder how I will feel or where we will be one year from now!

BIG well done and congrats Saskia, I can't even imagine how hard it was for you, both to be in that relationship and to finally get out.

If it doesn't sound pretentious as I don't actually know you, I would like to say how proud I am for you that you were strong enough to make that move for your kids and yourself.
