&lt;p&gt;Not a criticism, Zigzag, but I do agree that one needs to be wary of passing comments on from this forum to another.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I also agree strongly with Sal about the danger of taking an opinion as fact. &lt;p&gt;I didn&amp;#39;t pass on a whole comment, just a brief summary. I only wanted to make sure that the right thing was being done for the dog and wasn&amp;#39;t aware it was such a problem, people pass on views face to face.&lt;/p&gt;

I know it happens but esp in large animla type prcatices where vets out a lot. It is wrong as who knows if the breeder has actually given it let alone properly. &lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve always signed vaccination certificates, as long as I am sure that the vaccine has been given and I &amp;quot;pp&amp;quot; with the initials of the vet that administered it.&amp;nbsp; I use my RVN at the end, to clarify that I am not a vet.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Not strictly true. Like any POM, they can be purchased (with a prescription from a vet) for administration by the owner. A health check is something vet practices offer as a &amp;#39;good practice&amp;#39;.&amp;nbsp; Farmers buy vaccines constantly for administration by themselves.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is also perfectly legal for VNs to administer any vaccine, 1st or 2nd, as long as they have been directed to do so by a vet. They just can&amp;#39;t sign a vaccination certificate.&amp;nbsp; Obviously most good practices would have a vet check the animal first though....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Who exactly are you thinking this practice should be reported to then, on the basis of some ranting by a disgruntled client on an internet forum???&lt;/p&gt;

I don&amp;#39;t know whether she&amp;#39;ll reply or not but&amp;nbsp;I hope so as this worries me! She has put another post on saying:&lt;/p&gt;

You should think about reporting this practice to the RCVS. Vets/VN&amp;#39;s are here to help animals not just dish out drugs/vaccines&amp;nbsp;which could&amp;nbsp;potentially make an animal very ill or possibly kill it.&lt;/p&gt;
