I've tried furball remedies from petshop but only way to get them to take it is by putting it on their front leg which leads to them ingesting more fur

Re: furballs

I have read about pineapple juice in rabbits, not sure if they would be too happy about that lol. Will definately invest in a furminator, hopefully it will reduce the amount of fur on the carpet, curtains, me!

Re: furballs

Hill's Hairball Control Diet works a treat of failing that, katalax

Re: furballs

Furminate them! I've been furminating my Selkirk Rex kitties as they have a really thick shedding undercoat and it's great, it gets out so much more hair than any other brush (does kinda ruin the curls a bit though ).

I've seen a few cats be very ill with massive furballs in their stomachs, which have had to be removed surgically, so I do worry about the amount of hair some cats ingest, so I'd much rather groom them like mad so they don't ingest too much!

Re: furballs

Pineapple juice is supposed to break up hairballs in rabbits' stomach, dont know if this will work for cats also?xx

Re: furballs

might have to get some I hate watching them be sick

Re: furballs

[quote user="Steph Worsley RVN MBVNA"]
