Am I right in thinking that it's like surgical spirit or similar, and dissolves adhesives? As I get to her every day, I don't really need to use anything like that when I can physically pick them out, and am not sure that it would work anyway as it's a different problem with a tangle of fur than with something sticky gumming it down?

Also, ref. a detangler, her fur is very silky and she is brushed daily, so I don't know that a detangler would either work or be appropriate- And though the kids ones are gentler, kids don't lick their hair (at least, I hope not!)

With both of those, putting some kind of preparation on her coat, she's going to groom herself and lick it off so I don't think I would be comfortable with that at all, having her ingest either thing.

Very much appreciate the thought though, and any other suggestions!

Re: Burrs in fur!

Have you tried things such as plast-off there is one for animals but cant remember what it's called - my friend had this problem last summer and used this spray which removes bandages and things easier it may be worth a try! it seemed to work for her!

Also, have you tried any detangler? even the kids ones as theyre not harsh cos theyre for kids :)
