&lt;p&gt;dog biscuits, apple, pear, banana, tomato, carrot, swede, dandelions, chickweed, groundsel, stale toast, boiled egg, milk powder or cooked meat.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;nbsp;recommend feeding these as treats once a week as too much can lead to&amp;nbsp;diarrhoea and upset stomachs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for the splayed legs, could an injury from his bid for freedom. They are hardy wee creatures though so he should adapt.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Has he had xrays? Splaying or inability to walk on hind legs can occur if they have been dropped or fallen but as he&amp;#39;s been wandering around the streets would be worth doing one to check.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Obviously commercial hamster mixes have balanced vitamins &amp;amp; minerals in them.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Be careful not to give him too much fruit though incase it gives him wet tail!&lt;/p&gt;
