i got my letter today, ive been offered a college place!!!!!!!!!!!! just gota sort out my placement now, so excited!!! but also a bit stressed now as trying to work out money etc cos will sumhow still need to work

Yeah always dress smart, although if I had really dressed up as in job interview formal I would have looked strange next to the jeans and tshirt students. Just wear something you feel smart in.

Ive just finished my course and yes they give you a list of vets but these vets do not have placements you are just randomly applying, go on the RCVS website and get contacts for all practices in your area and start applying now that way at your interview you can mention you have already started looking. Showing that your using your iniatitive. I waited 7 long months before finding my placement, very frustrating but I managed to catch up on (the old style) portfolio and qualified before others in my class. But be yourself and just show how passionate you are about what you want to do

Just be honest about why you wanna be a VN, Im a mix of NVQ/Degree nursing.... and if i can get on to the FdSc im sure you can :) as for dress look smart it always makes a good impression then turning up in jeans and trainers. It shows you have thought ahead, Black trousers and some shoes would be fine with a casual top and cardigan.

Ive got my interview at plumpton college for my lvl 3 on weds and thats what im planning to wear even though i already know the lecturers lol :P

I just said that I have a caring personality and my love for animals is so strong that I will give 100% to my job and the animals under my care. Plus I realise it is a job where you can't always go home on time but this suits me as it is my dream career. I basically said that this isn't just a job to me, it will be a way of life. Let me know how you get on. Make sure you get your letters to your placement practises done asap as they always have lots. I had loads of practises telling me they had a two year waiting list. Don't worry though their will be some that will take you straight away.

what did u answer to what u bring to vet nursin? i hate them kinda questions!!!! its on friday

Thank you. Just what would I bring to Veterinary nursing and the type of person I am. The usual type of things. Where I would eventually want to work, I.E Charity like Blue Cross, private practise.

Do you have your Vet practise placement? I was lucky because I had been volunteering at a practise for 2 months just one day a week and before they give you the placement they want 20 hours working in a practise over summer but I had already done it, so they offered me my place there and then. Don't be nervous you will do fine, I was allowed to take my boyfriend with me which helped keep my nerves in check. When is it? What college?

I had mine two weeks ago and I wore smart jeans, nice top, blazer and heels. It's not that formal and I got my placement there and then. Good luck!!
