u can block people so they cant see ur profile or status updates etc.

u can receive messages from people who r not on ur friends list.

check and alter settings to only friends to see ur profile/pics/updates etc

i change my password every month as i was a victim of someone going into my profile!

the help page on facebook is helpfull 2

yea she can set all her setting on facebook to friends only and u can actually set it so nobody can add u as a friend either. u can only add them. she can also block messages from that person if u are really worried about it but definately make sure she takes herself of mobile facebook as that automatically shows ur number online.

sometimes facebook can take hours to update depending how the message was sent ie if sent from a mobile.

if she changes her mobile number either make sure she doesnt share it on facebook or sorts out her privacy settings.

Face book is great for social networking but if you arent very very careful stuff like this can happen very easily

she has face book access on her phone, this french womans name came up saying hope she was well, she replied saying who is this and he said its ure dad, gave his name, she then called me distressed and showed me the messages, she said its via face book, but i cant see it on the site!!

How do you mean he has done it via her mobile? u mean thru her mobile internet on her email acocunt or fb or directly to her number? Does your daughter have her number displayed on facebook because this could be how he managed to obtain it? If this is the case then u could just have her mobile number changed.

hes done it via her mobile she has internet access but all it shows is a french name, she doesnt want to contact him, and is in such a state too, ive tried on face book etc but am going out of my mind

Surely if he's contacted your daughter then she's got some contact details to respond to him? Could you not ask her for them?x

Can u try google or finding him by searching for your daughter on facebook and looking on her page? If you get my drift. Or try friends reunited and search for the school he attended to see if he is on there
