Until recently our communial body collection bags have always been the good old black body bags. Our clinical waste is collected in orange bags.
Today the driver informed me that it is illegal to collect these unless they are in their own

Re: Communial Waste Bags

TBH I am not that happy about the 'alternative disposal method' (essentially landfill) used for a lot of waste now. I know about the risk of dioxins from incineration but what is worse? Maybe we should be looking at how much waste is produced in our diposable throw away world and looking at ways of minimising it - not burying it for future generations, and then you have the clinical waste that mysteriously manages to find its way into containers and is shipped abroad - not content with turning our own country into a rubbish dump we share it around with others

Re: Communial Waste Bags

I couldn't believe how waste has to be separated now. I spent a few years away from veterinary nursing, and when I left it was green for paper and household EVERYTHING else went into clinical!!!! It's second nature now, but I was shocked that it is broken down so much, we actually have a flow chart!!!
