i did it recently on steam from the kettle making the vet a drink! i had to go to another surgery to cover and the vet there had to dress it for me. ended up with 'no chew' co flex and being a right numpty was surprised when i had a biccy that my fingers tasted horrible! i didn't realise the dressing had a coating on it....hence 'no chew'

i did that once on holiday in gran canaria, just got into our apartment and was checking the kitchen out, thought 'hmm something smells hot, is that steam coming from the hob, let's touch it to see if it's on' what an idiot lol....

I did exactly the same thing many years ago. Ended up in A +E feeling very stupid!

Thanks guys, i dont think its more than skin deep. Its alot better now, fingers crossed its not as bad as it feels

Min. of 15mins under a cold water tap ibuprofen or equiv and if more than skin deep get it checked.

your welcome if u get worried or it gets worse than a blister see the pharmacist tommorow they will be able to advise u.

Oh remember to keep it clean to as u know how easy it is for burns to become infected.

Its a good thing it hurts means its not to deep.

Keep it in cold water a bowl or bucket the nerves have been exposed and the cold water will help.

I did burnt my finger tips on a pizza over that was running at 240c and had to keep them in cold water for hours.
