Thanks Steph. Considering Tryplase capsules sprinkled on his food but just would like to read a little bit more about it as I can't seem to find much info on EPI in kitties as it seems to be quite uncommon x

Re: Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency in Cats

Am on it Claire, think we have info at work...am picking cat type peoples brains also!!!

Male neutered ginger/white DSH.
Is now on Pancrex granules on each meal (seemed to work better than pancrex powder) .... am off this wk but can have a look next wk at case history if you want... Depending on what the results are pancreatic enzyme replacements would be key if TLI results are < 8µg/L . Can't offer any specific details for treatment as not come across it personally. Only had some lit for it from a vet friend that I asked. Have you done any x-rays or ultrasound to look for anything abnormal in the organs?

might be worth checking the http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed for any recent studies or details.

Re: Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency in Cats

There is a small amount about it in feline medicine and theraputics by chandler, gaskell and gaskell.
