may have been Kate then?? but I am sure you were there for the 'naughty corner' day when N and J were arguing over who would do ops and who would do consults because Wibble was there.

No wonder I have so many bloody grey hairs!

These 'children' (whoever it might have been!) were fresh to the playground. Our practice ran for over 2 years on locum vets (long story). The only permanent staff were myself , the other nurse and a receptionist. On this occ the other nurse was on hols and we had decided that at the same time we would have not 1 but 2 locum vets. So there I am with a locum nurse, and 2 locum vets both fresh to us, neither of them knowing the computer system and neither of them wanting to consult. Receptionist who wanted nothing to do with the altercation going on in the corridor and me trying to do the admits - well I ask you what would you have done? - I used the door to prep as the division along with the tub table grille and the vet who was in prep did ops for the day and the vet the consult side did consults with locum nurse assisting ops vet - and told them all to get on with it!

AND, I also recall having to say if anybody wanted to throw anymore tantrums then I hoped they were better at it than I was!

I do recall seperating surgical and medical staff using the grill off the tub table across the doorway

could bring in the 'naughty corner' I have done this with vets and nurses before to show them just how childish they are being and it worked,- well for a time anyway. just pointed out there was enough corners in the building for everybody to have their own naughty corner! . Hope N and J see this and anybody else who was involved! we can all laugh about it now thankfully. This is the same combo that forced me to bring in the ban on 'pink shrimp' sweets in the building as they all got so hyper on the sugar if you can try and diffuse it with a bit of humour - but sounds like might be past this already

It must be horrible. I think another meeting is called for and everyone must be really frank aboiut their feelings.

Or pass them some lawyers numbers and say that unless they sort it out then these are the best people to deal with because they will be if they destroy the practice. The way they are going they are heading for it.

Women sorry I didnt mention it. I thought maybe a pampering day because then they would be relaxed and wouldnt have anything to get stressed about? and I know both of them would enjoy it.

They have tried to do things together they went to a show in london together but that caused more issues as they couldnt agree what to go and see for ages! they also decided to take their children out as a group but again they disagreed over what to do! feel like banging their heads together!

Oh dear, poor you lot having to work in that atmosphere

Since you have all already had words with them, and they have not paid any heed, then what about another meeting, but with this time stipluations that both parties have to adhere too.

I cant believe they cant see how childish they are being, and also potentially losing business because of it, at the end of the day no client wants to see 2 professional slugging it out in a verbal sniping war in front of them do they. I think pointing this out to them may make them take heed, if only on that front and not the other issues going on.

Is there anything they do agree on...hobbies interests etc? try suggesting a team building day out, like go carting, paintball etc, maybe just maybe outwith the confines of work they can find some common ground and hopefully .

Last but no means least, threaten to all hand your notice in if they dont stop obviously I would not expect you to actually hand it in, but if you let them think you are, hopefully that way they will finally get the message.
