It seems almost a waste to do the ANA when you already have the qualifications to start the VN course, ANA is quite basic.

Would be worth joining the BNVA for advice etc.

Re: A new VN but old VT

Oh thank you so very much, I really appreciate that, Ive saved it and will have a good read and download the pack from it, fingers crossed, may save me a lot of time and money. I appreciate you very much!!

Re: A new VN but old VT

you might be interested in this.......

Think just going for my RVN may be the way ahead!
All I will say is.. be very careful with Home Learning courses.. I did one. it was for a higher diploma in animal nursing & behaviour. I got through 95% of the course, took me 2 years and then found out it was all fraud.. it was all over the news. The diplomas this 'college' was issuing were fakes..

Just please please be careful.. would hate for someone else to have the upset I had

Re: A new VN but old VT

Just to add if it is this 'veterinary assistant' course - http://www.dcalearn.co.uk/Courses_UK/Veterinary_Assistant/Outline.htm then it is not a direct entry onto the RCVS course as you don't actually come away with a recognised qualification.

The Veterinary Care Assistant course is distance learning with time spent in practice and this is a recognised qualification as it the Animal Nursing Assistant course.
