I'm with Elephant. Can't remember how much my policy is but it was reasonable. I drive a 55 reg 1.4 litre Fiesta, fully comp policy. Have 2 years no claims, been driving about 5 years, am 23. In the 2 years i've had this car they've replaced 2 windscreens for me (thanks to damn stones!) for just the excess.

Im with Direct line myself, havw written off one car and also managed to get 3 points (naughty i know) renweal only went up by 50 and even managed to haggle that off them by saying i got a cheaper quote, so i actually paid no more than i already was, ive got 2 years NCB and drive a 53 plate lupo 1.4

I am with Diamond the renewal quote this year was for £339!!!!! After a telephone call I got that down to £290......but still think I can get it cheaper....any suggestions who to go with????

I'm with Post Office, full singing and dancing policy with RAC cover (although thinking of cancelling the RAC cover after they crashed my car!!!!! while recovering it and writing it off). I drive a Renault Scenic 2 litre now and it costs about £48 a month with hubby onboard.

I've just renewed my policy with Tesco as I could only find a policy £3 a year cheaper elsewhere! They have an offer on breakdown cover at the moment too so got fully comp insurance for me and my partner, on a 54 reg 1l corsa, 6 years protected no claims, guaranteed hire car, legal cover etc, full breakdown cover with greenflag all for £36 a month. Did think was too bad considering most other companies were quoting between £450 and £500!

Try Co-Operative Car Insurance. I just saved myself over £200 changing from my old insurance company to them.

Im with Tesco. I pay about £38 per month. Been with tesco for 2 years. I have 2 years no claims (maybe 3, cant remember).... I have a 53 reg vauxhall corsa SXi.

I remember when i first passed and i had my M reg fiesta. I was with post office then, i i paid like £100 a month!!

Mine has come down by £9.00 this year!!!! But theres definatley room for improvement on that so will be doing teh ringing round and getting quotes online!!!! This car is good saves me alot of money and goes well......only £30 for year tax!!!!! Might not be the sporty car i wouls like but least it saves me pennies!!!!

I'm just about to renew mine for the first time!!

ONE years NCB (wooo!), 30yo, young son, drive a sub 1L micra in a rural area with low crime, park on the road at both home and work - any suggestions? Done all the comparison sites, and they all come out between £50-£70 p/m 3rd party, fire & theft - is that reasonable, or should I try shopping around the old fashioned, long winded, phone conversation 'they quoted me this can you better it' way?

I've also protected my no claims bonus which was an extra £80 but someone i know recently had their dashboard catch alight and the car is now a right off but their no claims would of been protected as it wasnt their fault.

I'm with direct line. Can't remember what I paid but not bad considering I wrote off my mums car 3 years ago and have my 21 year old sister as a named driver.

I'm with tesco.. I'm 27, I got 3yrs NC (did have 5 but lost 2 due to a bump! - ops!!) I drive a BMW 318is.. It costs me £50 a month! Not bad considering I made a claim and it only went up by an extra £11 a month!

Oh I know this only too well! I had a bad car accident a few years ago which totally wasn't my fault. Insurance company were rubbish, it took 18months to settle and was weeks away from court before the 3rd party suddenly admitted she was at fault.

For the above reason I always have legal expenses cover, as I wouldn't have been able to pursue it through to court if I hadn't been covered...and a courtesy car because it took them 8weeks to fix my car!

Just found out that if I add my OH as a named driver it cuts my premium by a couple of hundred pounds! Think its because I'm 24 and insurance companies only like people over 25

The first year with Direct Line is cheap but it then tends to go up quite a bit. I cant fault them for service though so I dont mind paying a bit more.

Ive recently renewed mine and went with tesco's this year was with elephant last year but because I have moved my premium went up £150 so with tescos it is the same as what i paid last year. I do wonder why I got a sporty car

Im also with direct line! found them the best.

I have a 11 years no claims on a 09 focus 1.6 zetec spec (and black, so makes the insurance higher!!!!) and its about £370 a year, I was with the NFU and their quote was £800!

I with direct line, saved £230ish when i changed from sheilas wheels to them. I have a ford puma 1.7, 5 years+ no claims and pay about £200 a year.

I'm with Direct Line, got 7 years NCB and have a 53 plate reg Yaris, fully comp insurance cost me £180 last year, maybe worth a try!? Although Diamond quoted me nearer £500 so there seems to be a massive difference in some companies and what they base their quotes on!
