Hiya

I qualified as a nurse in Holland and was able to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) by the RCVS. Ben Myring is the contact at the RCVS about this.
Examinations and assessment (candidates)

I had to get my whole syllabus officially translated and hand it in together with other paperwork and a payment. But you might not have to do this, it all depends.

Quickest thing is to contact Ben directly, he is very helpfull.

It is a good idea to get everything rolling now because it took me a year to get everything sorted.

oh! I want to travel to Denmark some day! :) good luck finding a job. I know it will be very difficult with the economy at the moment! I think most countries unless in dire need of skills are only hiring their own to save on fees for visas and what not! :)

Hi. I have a veterinary nursing qualification from Denmark (I'm from Norway). I might try getting a job in England next year, so I will contact the RCVS.

Hi Lea, do you have a veterinary nursing qualification from your country? if so you need to contact the RCVS to see if it is equal to the same level as a qualified nurse here in the UK. They alone will be able to tell you. if it is not then you may have to undertake some extra training in this country to become qualified.
