This is what we generally do in practice, but current thinking is that this could introduce bacteria and so is not accepted by RCVS.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Threre should be a stick type thing to stick down it provided in the exam, can also hold it straight and look down it. Failihng that, or as another check - connect the tube to the anaesthetic circuit, switch on the oxygen and feel for it coming through the tube.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
