After 12 years of veterinary nursing I've now joined the NHS working in radiography department, hoping one day to be a fully qualified radiographer.....

I am also the wrong side of 30!

Your never too old to do what you want to do hun, I think us older people have much more commitment and we have what the younger ones dont have...lifes experience!! lol

My Brian has a saying DREAM. BELIEVE. ACHIEVE. You are never to old unless it is something like an astronaut then you may have problems that are more tricky to overcome.

My mum trained & qualified as a VN (in the top 10) in her mid forties.

remember you've got another 20-30yrs left of your working life and you wanna do something diverse and enjoyable (mostly!)

I'm 34 and just about to qualify as an RVN. You know already at 32 that age is just a state of mind! Go for it and be proud of yourself :) good luck x

I was 36 when I started my training, and even I wasn't the oldest in our group!! If its what you want to do, then don't let age put you off.

we had an 80 year old man doing a biosciences degree when I was at uni. never too old

I am just finishing off my degree at Warwickshire college and although they were not vet nurses there were a few members in my class (Animal Welfare students) in the first year all over 40 for sure and last year there was one lady who had children and one bloke who decided he didnt like management in department stores any more and was doing the animal welfare degree, he was much older than you

As you see....never too old!!
