Don't take this the wrong way Steph but judging by the way you just spelled occupational therapist, it's possible that you have misheard/spelled what the doctor said!! lol

Are you sure it's not ' disparesis' - decreased limb movements? Just a thought. Whatever it is, I hope she recovers soon.

oh dear! that's terrible unfortunate. :( well if she's in hospital now hopefully they can get everything under control. Might want to rethink her home living condition though :(

is very rare in this country or in any country with well established society. it's usually found in third world countries or horrible sanitation situations. I think your nan probably has something else and you have misheard what i was. Can you not ask or have a peek at her chart? I'm sorry to hear she's not very well hopefully they can be a little more upfront with you guys about what's going on since you're family.
