I'm having a nightmare trying to sort out the difference between West, Travers and Weislander retractors.
The West retractors I've seen in practice are all 4/3 teeth and this is what is taught still in training. I think if they have any different teeth then it is a variation in that type of retractor so go by what you have learnt.

In your exam you will most likely to be asked for the instrument by the correct name rather than general description.

I've been looking at the instruments online, some of which are these catalogues, and it's this that has confused me! Even the Lane and Cooper is different to what I was taught, showing a Travers as 6/5 teeth!

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm so nervous, just wish it was all over.

Don't suppose you have access to a Veterinary Instrumentation catalogue do you? If not, they have photos on their website if you click on the description first! If in doubt, am sure they'd go through them with you over the 'phone!
