Today I did a mock practical at college - fairly pleased with how it went considering I have only had my last uni exam today and am not in practice so have done very little prep for it.
Just wanted to remind everyone - you are given time

Re: Mock Practical

in the same boat too, mine are 9am a week on sunday, this will be my 3rd attempt, just have to do it this time!!!!

Re: Mock Practical

I am pooing my pants about mine!

Being a born procrastinator, I have just been ignoring them! BUT THEY ARE A WEEK ON SATURDAY!

I am not ignoring them now! Cram time!

Because I have been in practice for eons, I feel OK about most of them - fluid therapy, anaesthesia, bandaging, some lab, and am concentrating on the ones that are new to me - theatre practice, a lot of lab, pharmacology, the WHO handwashing thing, radiography.

Still bricking it though! Mostly because I know I should be revising everything! Just don't seem to have the time!!!

Aghhhh!

Re: Mock Practical

Mine are a week on saturday, im so scared! I also did the RCVS examiner training which was run exactly like the real thing for examiners to practice but we got useful feedback too - so I am hoping the real thing will be 3rd time lucky for me!!

Yeah I am doing the practicals this time - Saturday at 9am, so glad I got the morning so I have less time to worry before it! Good luck to everyone else doing theirs this time too! xx

Well done on your bandage - shame it was the wrong leg At least that means you will be more careful in the real pracs :)

You've given me a very timely reminder on reading the tasks! My prac is a week on saturday! Eeek!

Good luck if you are taking yours this time too!
