&lt;p&gt;We have been given a list at work though because I asked for it to be clarified as we have a nursing assistant and didn&amp;#39;t want to encourage her to do things she shouldn&amp;#39;t.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our list says:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Giving medication eg. injections (although owners are allowed to do them for their own animals)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Placing cannulas&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Taking blood&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Scaling and polishing teeth&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Minor surgery which doesn&amp;#39;t enter a body cavity (eg. tail and toe amputation, lump removals and stitch ups)&lt;/li&gt;
