Was just gonna write "sucks" in reply.

I get a day off in leiu, with 1.5 days off for a night shift bank holiday.

We get paid normal wage for it, get the following day off (as we work the day & night) and then a day in leiu.

We get the day off back, no extra pay or time though.

We have to work up to three a year but I have gotten lucky with only two this year!

My thinking on this was if you work bank holiday and dont get a day off then we have not had our 28 days holiday that we are entitled to. Waiting to here back from BVNA legal helpline on this matter

I don't work bank holidays but in my last place we were paid overtime and received a day in lieu. This is the only practice I've worked at though where this was done. Often it was a half day or if you were really lucky nothing extra at all!

In my last practice we got two days in lieu and then normal pay for the night shift. Current practice is one day in lieu.
