I am hoping I am one step ahead, as already done my degree in vet nursing, my dissertation was marked fairly high, so fingers crossed!

Yes good luck, ask plenty of questions...spear the *** out of the tutors.... you only get a few opportunities to do so..although Claire is good at getting back to you via e mail..... the rest you will be drawing your pension before they get back to you so ask as much as possible when there. \be prepared to be totally slaughtered on anything you write.....even if you wrote a good intro essay.... they pick it over worse than a buzzard on starvation so be prepared.

Hi Sandra, We are there from Monday until Wednesday or in my case Thursay- only one flight a day from Cork to Manchester. Really looking forward to starting. Packing at the moment.

Any advice/ words of wisdon for a newbie starting the course

We are there for 3 days to start (mon, tues, wed) so they can sort all the technical side out, and admissions etc, and then it will be three weekends, fri-sun after that.

I am really looking forward to it!

Are you guys there for the 5 days initially? we had to do that for the first visit to college, then 3 weekends fri-sun

HI there!

I have recieved my question for the essay to apply to Myerscough. Its entitled:

'Setting the Standards for Exemplary Nursing Care'

It must include either a surgical or medical case I have been involved in.

Just wondering how people are interpreting the question??

The premier inn is close to the college, as is Guys. The only thing with Guys is it can be noisy.. they do good food there though and it's not too expensive. Premier inn is next to a pub where you can have breakfast and they also have meals in the evening.

Hi,

Im also starting in September and cant wait!! I have to book my flights soon. I live in Ireland so will have a bit of a trek to get over. Fly to Manchenster and train then to Preston.

Im looking forward to it though. Ive been told we pay fees in August so we should know more than.

Hi,

I am starting in Sept, very scared!! I have only had the £10 deposit thing from Myerscough but i have registered with UCLAN and have now got an i.d pass for their services....

I'm not sure where i'm going to stay, I only live about 45mins away but felt it would be better to stay so could get to know people better so felt I could approach them with stupid questions!!

Hope Nepal is fab!!

Have you paid the £10 deposit thing. I can't remember what it was called, but you had a form to fill in form to confirm you wanted a place on the course.

Hello. I will be also be starting the DipAVN course at Myerscough in September.

I am excited and quite nervous about doing the course.

As far as I know (this is what I was told at the interview) the first dates are 6th, 7th and 8th of September, but I think we get a information pack in August.
