sorry that sounds stupid - of course they will differ from animal to animal... i mean what could be deemed as high value might to normal for that animal... etc etc

I went to an idexx talk at BVNA congress last year and the speaker said that as they get older its good practice to keep a record of the animals normal ranges...

hope thats a bit clearer...?

Yes I ideally wanted BSAVA ranges but couldn't find them online small enough to put in my little book. It's OK I've got it sorted now tho'

I agree, When I was writing up K&U for my portfolio I found a huge difference between the values in the BSAVA nursing text book and the values that related to our biochem machine.

Thanks Kerry, I think I was having trouble with the size, It's a tiny little pocket sized book which I keep in my uniform pocket and I'm also working with Microsoft works which isn't the best at shrinking text down. I found that site but due to the size issue I can't get it small enought to fit in the book and still readable.

Maybe I'm not looking in the correct place but I'm finding it very difficult to find a chart of the average blood ranges

I have squillions of books with them in but can't seem to find anything suitable on the net?!?!

Have you contacted your lab? We use Idexx and they are always very helpful giving info
