&lt;p&gt;After a night of cage rest and some food we were as right as rain and I released the magpie with no problems.&lt;/p&gt;

May also be a head injury as mentioned.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My advice is put it in a quiet, dark kennel with some cat food and water and mail TLC! &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Very_happy_smiley.png" alt="Big Smile" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
