Hey...just to keep you posted....Max is going to a foster home today so pleased for him although it is not a permanent home at least it gets him out of the kennels....I shall keep you posted on his progress

Yeh dam shame about Chance I still miss him terribly.....we tried everything with him but think he was used as a fighting dog!!! Its all about lack of socialisation/the wrong kind of socialisation when they are young.....such ashame as staffies are great very loyal......the staffies kisses are the best!!!

Lovely pic, what beautiful dogs Sorry to hear about Chance...it's so horrible when they're been brought up badly isn't it I think Jack must have had little socialisation as a pup...i don't let him off with other dogs because with some dogs he's totally fine, others he will snap (annoys the hell out of me when people let their dogs run up to him and the dog is there pestering Jack argh!). The breed gets such a raw deal so often But we've given some loving homes

Sooooooooooo gorgeous!!!!!!!

This is my two gorgeous staffies....the brindle one is Tiya and the black one is Chance.....both rescued....unfortunately we had to put Chance down after all my best efforts (we had him for a year he came to me as he was going to be PTS due to his behaviour).........he had serious behaviour problems with other dogs and despite me working with a trainer he was to0 far gone to sort his problems. Again another example of the wrong owners getting these dogs and ruining them.....I really miss Chance as he was such a character still have his ashes as cant bring myself to spread them.........

It just shows how much we love and care for animals I cant stand it when staffies are put down for no reason they do make great pets they just need to be in the right home with experienced people

Bless you I was in tears when I met him you can probably tell from the pictures!!!!! Got everything crossed he finds a home asap or at least a foster home for now he deserves a loving home after the crap hes had to go through for the past 5 years....poor lad......

Aww i've just nearly been in tears for the poor boy So sad you can't have him...and wish i could...if only Jack were reliable with other dogs! Really really hope he gets the loving home he deserves soon!

I shall keep you posted on Max I have had someone interested in fostering him and west yorkshire rescue are hoping a staffie will be rehomed tomorrow which will leave a space for Max in a foster home............I sent him some toys to play with yesterday hopefully he will receive them today........really feel for him as staffies get such a raw deal mainly because of the wrong type of owner getting their hands on them and ruining them

oh i wish i could help - hes gorgeous! please let us know how he gets on - i would offer my self to foster him but my male JRT is a rescue and can be very strange with other males. loves some really hates other - cant risk it :(

Just spoken to Kathy from West Yorshire Rescue they are desperate to get a foster home for Max as he is currently in a small, dark kennel, only getting a 15 min walk a day which is certainly no where near enough for this gorgeous boy......can anyone help????

He needs to go with someone who has bull breed experience.

Please look at the website link below....if you cant help with Max can anyone give a home to any of the others?? The rescue is currently full and no room for Max...please....please....please.....for those who are in the west yorkshire areas can you put posters up in your practice telling your clients about Max.........he really is a lovely boy walks well on the lead just needs a great loving home that will give him a chance..........

Well, if it wasn't meant to be, then there's nothing you can do about it. I hope they find him somewhere soon, think he'll be coming back to us for his 2nd vac next week....

I know which charity will be getting my money in the future anyway :-)

Max was lovely really friendly big staffie with plenty of stafie licks to give.........he was assessed by a behaviourist whilst we were there and didnt show any real agression to her GSDs. Unfortuately our staffie bitch Tiya didnt take to him!!!! Was such ashame as we really liked him.......our staffie was attacked by a Dalmation and she has now developed fear aggression.....some dogs she great with others she just wont take to.......I came away crying as Max is a lovely dog and certainly does not need tp be PTS....thank god for us VNs who save these dogs.......really hope Max finds a fab home....we will be keeping into tiuch with West Yorkshire Rescue to find out how hes getting on. Everyone we met yesterday were fantastic doing such a great job with limited resources........

If anyone can offer Max a foster home that would be fantastic as the rescue society are currently paying to have him in kennels as they have no where else for him to go at the moment as they took him on a s an urgent case........the poor dog has really been through the mill since he was born and now deserves a fantastic loving home....I am just sad it cant be with us...........
