Does anyone have any helpful hints to make rinsing off the cold sterilisation chemicals more economical and quicker as we ended up with sterilised water all over the floor and in a right mess with

Re: laproscopic prep

where I used to work started doing Laproscopy just before I left.

Can the cables not be autocalved on a 121 cycle?? (we used to do this with our arthroscopy cables)

to rinse the actual scope we used a large deep litter tray filled with sterile water.

Re: laproscopic prep

Hi Rebecca

Dont know if you can do the same but for our arthroscope we have a small tub/bath that we immerse it in and then the inner part of the bath can be lifted out of the main tub so the cold sterilisation solution can drain away from the equipment - we then rinse the scope with sterile H20 but this drains away - dunno if this is making any sense lol!
