He put up with all my strops and trantrums whenever i complain about work, and stuck by me when my exams and portfolio got too much for me. We don't live together yet although it is on the cards this year, and hopefully as i work shifts and he does set hours we'll get on ok!!! He's really proud of all of my acheivements in my career and supports me 110%. He's even come into work with me on a weekend and raised a vain so i could re-drip a dog, that comes up in conversation when we meet new people... bless him.

As for insurance paper work, i do it all in the practice, i wouldn't even contemplate asking the reception staff as they are thick as pig shit!!!!! Get a nurse to do it, it is time consuming but i enjoy it and i feel a sense of acheivement when i manage to get cheques through for difficult conditions and i know how much the client (and the boss!!) appreciate it!!!!!

Re: Bloody Men!!!
If he's on call - then I don't see him - last night it was 2.30am before he came home. If he's on standby - then I'm lucky if he comes in before 11.30pm (cos he's writing up notes) If he's on 5/6pm finish then he might be back home by thereabouts but he will go back to work once its shut to finish writing up notes and may be back by 10-11pm. If its his half day then he has to go in to do insurance forms or referrals that he can't seem to get done during his normal working hours. He's not a partner but he is the most senior member of staff (apart fromt eh partners). He's also the assessor for his nurses and regularly brings home portfolio to do, cos he can't get to do it at work

His weekend on-call is non-viable for anything at all and his standby weekends he can't leave the house just in case he gets a call out. On his free weekends - he's been known to go into work to fix things or help out if they're busy.

This Sunday, after a week of feeling like shit & staying in bed, I wanted to do something even just to get out of the house, even just to walk the dogs - anything, and he f***ed off to work to frame a picture for a work colleague!!

If someone needs to swap - they ask him but vice versa there's no way he could swap cos it causes too much bother!!!! This weekend is my Dad's 70th, OH on call so I've asked if he could ask his standby vet to take the phone for 2 hours so we can enjoy my Dad's birthday lunch with my family (there's going to be about 30 folk coming) but he says that there's no way this can happen cos his standby is a new grad and he would probably just get called out anyway!!!!!

We've had arguements that he's having an affair, blah blah blah, doesn't like me anymore etc etc etc etc - which he denies and I believe him but you know how a female brain works!! Sometimes I just think that a guy can't love his work as much as he does!!
