I'd love to work nights. I've done night shifts in previous jobs and I much prefer it to day time working!!!

I'm a night only nurse, i work for vets now but i still have to do weekend day shitfs, which i dont like cause i'm not used to coming out in daylight any more.

With so many places now not doing their own out of hours I always wonder who it is that is doing all the night shifts - as Caro said in original post, night-only nurses seem to be a rare breed (or maybe we just never see them???

I used to work as a night auxilliary in a TP and loved it. I much prefer nights....but as I can't get a place to train, I can't do Vets Now which I'd love to so I'm another one part switching to the "dark side" and waiting to do some training there so I can do twilight and nights before the end of the year in an operating theatre.

I'm a night nurse 99% of the time, I work for Vets Now but have to work the odd day shift as I'm based in their new 24hour hospital!

Great to know there are others on here we are a pretty rare breed and yup day shifts when l do them are always strange. I am a night bird at heart hub calls me a bat as l like the dark and even in the day sit in the room with curtains closed

Hi there, i am a night worker!! Only work nights now can't bear doing days, do the odd saturday day shift to show my face but other than that its all nights!! We do emergency work and i love it, this is what i joined nursing to do!!

100% night nurse - although it may be counted as cheating as work for vets-now and as such cannot be a day nurse?

100 % night nurse, there are 2 of us at our practice we work one week on and one week of 6pm-8.30am mon - friday and 5.30pm-8.30am sat and sunday !

Robocop is like that at the minute, in the last 2 weeks she's volunteered herself to do 8 or 9 night shifts. She's amazing and I love her!

We've just recently put a proposal to our bosses about having dedicated night staff... still waiting for a response!
