I would love to see the evidence to prove the above happened. Because I have never heard of it and believe me if it actually happened I'm sure I would have.

I think it's quiet sad that these protesters don't protest against game hunting.....what happens when these birds get shot and it's not a clean shot. If the dog doesn't get it then it is left to suffer.

Also rabbiting, the use of ferrets still happens.

If these people want to ban fox hunting and the use of dogs they need to expand their horizons more and get other forms of hunting in the public eye!

to start with I dont agree with any hunting with dogs .

but can I just ask why there is so much misery on this forum ( and has been on and off for quite some months? - dont people get enough of it at work without ramming it down peoples throats on here as well? We know it goes on - many of us see the evidence of it on a daily basis and have been doing for years. It doesnt mean that we dont care if we dont mention it. Do we need a special misery corner where people can compare horror stories or try and go one better than the last one?

Some of the stuff on here has been incredibly depressing to read of late. I know life isnt always a laugh a minute but....

I know many people on here have very strong opinions - lets face it I am one of them but I am appealing to people to try and keep things a bit more upbeat, dont know about anybody else but this is getting me down.

Not watched video as dont want to, my only experince of hunting was a hound brought into us - had been kicked in head by horse just before they went out hunting and they just locked it in a stable. Yard girl felt strongly and waited for them to go beofre bringing into us. They didnt want to know when they found out and werent bothered what happened to it. Managed to fix it up - fractured jaw and orbit and face a real mess but made it and found someone with experince of hounds who took it on. Just couldnt believe their attitude and presumably dog wold have been shot - they just said it was ts on fault for getting in the way!

oh believe me, i know sabs are not all angels. but i despise the attitudes of the huntsmen/women who obviously think they are above everyone else... mostly as they are on a horse so only higher in that respect .

personally i think if you are an animal lover, you should be there for the ALL animals, none should suffer because of humans disgusting thoughts of 'tradition'.

Personally I don't go out to sab, I would like to, but i feel my anger would get the better of me, and i do not want to be labelled as a shouty swearing annoyance as I think that lowers to their level. I believe in conversation, unfortunately, most of the time with them, you just get shouted and sworn at, dispelling any inkling of 'education' and 'higher class'.

Also.... i worry how far i would go with the pricks on horses or the poo heads following. I have no problem with the hounds, or the horses, after all they are only doing what they have been taught and trained for, it is not the poor dogs fault, after all, the majority are fed on carcasses and taught to hunt through cub-hunting, or as the re-named it to sound nicer autumn-hunting. though the dogs themselves, are often being treated just as poorly.

However, I really don't believe it to be a "sport", as sport is when both parties know they are competing, also, not with their lives.

I have lived in the country all my life, so amnot a 'townie' as lots of pro's like to use as a reason for you not to have an opinion. as have the rest of my family. Me and my sister were nearly killed by the hunt when i was 3 and my sister newborn.

It is something very VERY close to my heart as it is just the utmost cruelty, chasing a life to utter exhaustion, only to be caught and ripped apart... hardly civilised.

... cripes... i re-read... can you tell its something i am pretty passionate about??!!

This is a good video - I don't doubt that it is biased but, as has already been said, this sort of thing always will be.

It is very upsetting to watch but unfortunately this is the reality of the sport. I have no problem with people needing to protect their livestock and their livelihood but there really are better ways than hunting. It is so cruel and barbaric.

It also angers that some of the comments after the video are along the lines of 'city people don't have a clue, hunting is fine' etc. I am a country girl and I have never agreed with it and really don't feel it's necessary.

It makes me sad that this kind of thing still goes on. I just don't get their arguement. I know a lot of farmers and fair enough if they are having fox issues. It's not an excuse for people in suits to chase them round the countryside with a pack of dogs though! There are humane methods!!

A friend of mine lives on a small farm and was losing a lot of chickens to a fox. They trapped it and shot it. I don't like it one bit myself but it's got to be a nicer way than being chased until you are exhausted and then ripped to bits!

I doubt any hunt "staff" would be pleased about being filmed doing something illegal, so I think this kind of video will always be biased. They will never be smiling and happy about having their "fun" spoilt!

i was referring to the people the video portrays really, rather than the subject itself. it paints hunt sabs as angels and hunt staff as rude, arrogant, nasty etc. i have heard of hunt sabs deliberately running hounds over, injurying horses (including throwing fireworks) and to think they call themselves animal lovers...

I have THE STRONGEST feeling with this. There is no right, it is utterly utterly wrong. x
