And do they add extra valves and stuff to confuse you?

Re: Breathing Circuit assembly in practical exams

I did my practicals last December and the circuits were all grouped separately so as not to confuse you, I had mini lack, the lack ( same just bigger) bains and a T.piece. the one I got was the bain and the only part I had to add was the scavenge. Remember to open the APL valve and say that you have done so. Good luck, its nowhere near as bad as your probably imagining, they want you to pass and are all very nice.

Re: Breathing Circuit assembly in practical exams

Hey Bizzy I have done the practicals 3 times so far (luckily 1st one didnt count) and they havent previously been that mean. All the times iv done it the circuits are there and you obviously have to know which is which. There was actually little assembly required the past times iv done it but disconnect and put them together when ur revising because it doesnt mean to say they wont make it harder this time. You obviously need the inspiratory and scavenging bit along with the APL valve REMEMBER TO OPEN IT AND LEAVE OPEN!!Good luck X

Re: Breathing Circuit assembly in practical exams

The different circuits are separated out into boxes so you have to be able to identify which circuit is which, and the appropriate one for the task you're given.
