He asked what was wrong, how long and any other symptoms? Had a quick furtle about in my hair and booked me in for a load of blood tests!
Was very non specific when i asked what he was testing for, said most common reasons are hormonal or low iron.
Having blood taken on friday then have to go and see him when results are back.
Meanwhile hair is still falling out and I'm trying not to stress

Re: Hair loss!

Sorry to hear about your hair loss. Good luck when you go see your doctor.

There are a couple of products that might help if you did want to look into them. One is LA science (http://www.la-science.co.uk/) which is a little bit expensive but I've heard it's really good. Or Kerastase products (http://www.kerastase.co.uk), I used the Resistance ones when my hair went really thin and brittle after having hair extensions and they were amazing at repairing my hair and helping growth. I also went to a Saks salon at the time, where they use the Kerastase products, and they did loads of conditioning treatments which helped lots too.

Re: Hair loss!

I have a similar problem - My hair is VERY fine, and every single time I wash, brush it etc, I literally have a handful of hair at the end!

This has been going on all my adult life - I just put it down to my hair being ridiculously fine!

Reading this thread though, I am wondering if I too should try the docs? Though to be fair I am chronically stressed!

Hope you get it sorted LoobyLou!

Re: Hair loss!

Nioxin products are good, i started using it on advice from my hairdresser when i had chemotherapy and found that it really helped
