Have an end kennel they use and add more as needed. They like it like that as keep better eye on the patient, use proper barrier techniques and have not had any problems. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However we do have 2 large walk in kennels on the other side of the ward - this is our designated &amp;quot;isolation&amp;quot; ward - one kennel for the infectious patient &amp;amp; the other for all the barrier nursing stuff.&amp;nbsp; We have a collapsible cage if its a cat which fits into the kennels.&amp;nbsp; We have to follow all the same protocols for a ward with foot baths, shoe covers, aprons etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We had to make up a protocol so we could become a TP but luckily we&amp;#39;ve never have to use it..&lt;/p&gt;

Designate bedding, bowls etc for use only by that animal. Barrier nurse, section off an area around the cage and use foot baths etc.&lt;/p&gt;
