December probably was too late Poppy - you should be on the online register, but won't appear in the published paper list until next time. The renewal is done in November, and so that likely explains why you haven't been included.

Hi Polly,

Normally the people on this list are those that have either forgotten to pay their retention fee, or those that have left the profession / decided not to stay on the list for whatever reason. Having it on the website would allow anyone to see if they have not been included, and contact the RCVS to change this if they so wished.

Slightly off topic, but I notice on the RCVS website that as well as the list they keep a list of 'nurses removed from the register in January 2008.'

What is this all about/ why were the people removed? Was it some kind of compliance/ wualification issue, or are they people who were 'struck off' as it were for misconduct or something?

Mine's going to be an amazing cockup this year cos not only have I been missed off (see oher related thread), I recently moved to my mum's and they've updated the online version to her address in The Midlands. I've since moved back to the North west, am temporarily staying at "my" house whilst waiting for rented place to be ready and so am loathe to tell them the new rented address in case I jibx it and it falls through and I haven't started a new permanent job yet so can't put new practice on it either. By the time they've corrected the fact loads of people have been missed off the 2010 hard copy, I'll be shown as living in completely the wrong part of the country. Like to keep them on their toes

hey you chose what details you want in the register, you can chose not to have a telephone number or to have a work number and a work address instead of a home address in there

When you fill in your registration documents you basically tell them the details that are ok to put onto the register.

As Phrin said the hard copy with these details in are only circulated to fellow professionals and practices.

Personally I chose to have my home address in the register rather than my practice address but that was personal choice (and for ease if I move jobs as I dont plan to move house!) and if you look under my listing then you will see there isnt a telephone number there.

If you aren't happy with the details for yourself, then contact the RCVS, If you are in the register for this year then unfortunately theres nothing that casn be done about the details in this copy but next year they will change the details accordingly

I'm only an SVN at the mo, so don't have this problem yet, but have noticed that some people are printed with practice addresses rather than home (at least on the MRCVS register - not sure about RVN)... not sure how you go about acheiving that though?

Also, the printed registers (with addresses etc) are only circulated to fellow professionals - the public, online list only shows your county.
