I have been 12 years in practice so am DESPERATE to get qualified! lol!

Can you use witness statements for the period when you have no assessor? Or case logs but with an expert witness signing as well as the new assessor?

Oh, and I don't have it sussed at all - am bumbling through! But have a great team of RVNs supporting and helping me

Re: portfolio VetN6.1, .2, .3 &.4

Was my assessors last day today! I did my first year back in the days of the 'green' portfolio, and you had to do x amounts of case logs, all written by the student, plus a couple of extended case logs (essays!)

At least now, with a good assessor you can cover TONS with an observed assessment, a well written witness statement or a piece of work place evidence!

You will have it done by September no problems!

Re: portfolio VetN6.1, .2, .3 &.4

I started L3 in january, (didnt have to do L2 as cross credited qual from new zealand) need to get potfolio finished by sept so I can sit exams end of year.... long story but havnt recieved portfolio yet but by assesser downloaded everything for me so I could make a start.... double eeeks!

Re: portfolio VetN6.1, .2, .3 &.4

I am indeed doing L3 - have to have my portfolio in by the end of april!! Record that on the animals records, and you have loads of standards covered

Re: portfolio VetN6.1, .2, .3 &.4

you don't have to find anything to use it as a case log. more important is that u have learnt the correct technique for collecting the samples and used the microscope correctly for the sample. Getting something from these methos and from skin scapes is not hugely common unless the animal is covered from head to toe.

in my practice we always regard cheyletiella as zoonotic.
