It is a myth that you have to be a human physio first in order to become a vet physio, in fact like the title 'veterinary nurse', 'veterinary physiotherapist' is not a protected title and anyone can use it!

As for the qualification, the postgraduate diploma (PgD...obtained after 2 years) and Masters (MSc...obtained by doing a research project in the 3rd year of course) both lead to probationay acceptance onto the NAVP register, after a year on probabtion, subject to all being ok, you are entered onto the full list. See www.navp.co.uk or harper website for more details, but basically NAVP and ACPAT are the only 2 organisations that are recognised by the major insurance companies such as petplan as being suitable to claim against insurance.

Hope this waffle helps

I have only just heard about this course. I am currently in my 3rd year of my veterinary nursing degree at harper adams. What is the qualification at the end of the course then? Is it an actualy veterinary physiotherapist as i thought you had to hold a degree in human physio before you could go into veterinary??

What MSc are you looking for? those in vet physiotherapy are only available at Harper and the RVC, in other things I did have a look at various others so may be able to help but your best bet is to search through UCAS or just google using UK search.
