I have had to re-enrol because i wouldn't have completed the training within 5 years of enrolling (you know why so not going to bother explaining lol). You should be ok if your enrolment date is Dec 06, you just have to qualify by Dec 2011.

I have always just rung the VN dept at RCVS with any queries:

They have a breakdown of who to ring for specific enquires here tho (which I had never seen before googling lol)

I think that you should be fine - I enrolled at the start of my degree course but then due to a broken leg missed lots of RCVS sections of course, it was 2 years between me enrolling and starting my portfolio and it hasn't been a problem.

My advice would be to contact the RCVS, in my experience they generally respond well to emails, and you can find the right person to contact through the RCVS website.

As far as I can remember - way back when I was a student - once you were enrolled that was you for 5 years. However that was nearly 10 years ago so things may have changed. Check the RCVS website & see if there is any info on that
