Hi, I work for Nottingham vets now, we have just been told that if you are looking at a permanent position it will depend on which clinic you are in. From this April clinics are being tiered according to how busy they are both on the PDSA or Host Practice side of things and the VNE clients. Salaries are then higher in the busier clinics. As far as I know locums are £10/hr day shifts or £100 for a full night shift.

Hope this helps

a good idea if you work for a busier clinic, bad idea if you are working for a quieter clinic - I can see this backfiring in a spectacular way, I know its only fair that staff working harder get recompensed for the extra work but it really isnt going to encourage staff to work in quieter clinics and some of these already have a poor staff retention

Re: Vets Now pay

I do the odd shift for Vets Now Belfast and they pay £10/hour, don't know how much it varies from place to place though

Re: Vets Now pay

Hi, I work for Nottingham vets now, we have just been told that if you are looking at a permanent position it will depend on which clinic you are in.
