Because like it or not animal testing and research is the building blocks of veterinary and human medicine. Yes, we have alternative methods these days and try to do our best to keep the abuse to a minimum. But many important break through science was formed from those sorts of experiments. To be serious about veterinary medicine or any science for that matter there is always going to be the good, the bad and the ugly. It's hard to read but it's enlightening and strengthening for your soul and future. :) Many people are clueless to what happens behind closed doors and feel if it's out of site it's out of mind... I really don't agree with that. We should be like sponges! take all the info we can in so we can make educated discussions, decisions and directions. But it ain't all pretty!
Agree, But my problem with animal experimenting is the fact is where does it end? Do we have super humans and nobody ever dies? I read and watch and take in as much as i can in regards to animal expermenting, food industry etc. It's important people know as much as they can as you say Steph. People turn away and sometime wont evn listen to the truth of it all, people i feel should face the reality rather than ignoring it! Just my opinion!

That story still makes me feel sick tho!!

Re: Dog loyalty - I feel sick
From the sounds of it, that's from when scientists did some pretty rough experiments to see how things worked.
Like finding out how a bat navigates in the dark. They poked eyes with red-hot needles so they couldn't see, stuck (I think with glue) their mouth closed and finally deafened them (i can't remember how). Thus, eventually, finding out how it navigated.

Re: Dog loyalty - I feel sick
why post things like that?
