Thanks guys I know it's not a very pleasant topic to dicuss but I feel hearing everyones experiences may help to make a decision as to what to do next

My friend had one which also turned in to an abcess, it was horrible. She had it lanced and debrided and then packed with gauze soaked in abcs, then a nurse came out to the house every day and bathed it and removed a bit of gauze at a time over about a week i think. She was on lots of systemic abcs as well and eventually it healed. It did come back again though and the same thing happened. Really nasty things, feel very sorry for you

Anyway after the second time which was several years ago it went away and hasnt come back since, so fingers crossed you can get yours gone too x

my brother had one of those. i really do sympathesise with you, he was in agony with it! i can't remember the treatment he had but i do know my mum was pushing for him to have surgery, to get it removed deep down from the start of the tract to stop it coming back. but i will ask him this weekend and find out what happened.
